Risk Disclosure

A direct explanation of the risks users must understand before allocating capital through Edgeworth.

Template notice: this page should be reviewed by Edgeworth's Nigerian solicitor and compliance advisor before publication.

01

Risk of loss

Capital may be partially or totally lost. Users should only allocate capital they can afford to lose.

02

Past performance

Historical returns, Edge Score, risk class, or drawdown data are not reliable indicators of future performance.

03

EdgeGuard limitations

EdgeGuard mitigates risk but cannot eliminate it. Market gaps, extreme volatility, broker outages, and execution delays may cause losses beyond defined thresholds.

04

FX risk

NGN/USD exchange rate movement can affect the naira value of an account independently of trading performance.

05

Counterparty risk

Users may be exposed to broker, payment provider, bank, custody, cloud, or third-party operational failures.

06

Regulatory risk

Changes in Nigerian financial regulation may affect product availability, platform operations, or user access.

07

No financial advice

Edgeworth does not provide financial advice. Users should seek independent professional advice before allocating capital.

08

Acceptance

Before capital allocation, users should review and accept the active risk disclosure version. Acceptance should be timestamped and stored against the user record.
